Singer/Songwriter Rebecca Harkin from Ireland has achieved more in her young career than most musicians can only dream of.
Having studied music from the age of 4 in Ireland, she went on to be accepted to study voice at the acclaimed Conservatory of Music in Dublin at the age of 18. After 2 years of studying voice and composition, Rebecca soon become one of Irelands up and coming female singer/songwriters. She has performed at many major events and festivals including acclaimed Other Voices Music Trail in Derry 2013 & to audiences both on home soil and around the world, on stage, radio (BBC RADIO 1, LA Static Beach Radio, BBC Radio Ulster, Celtic Fm Australia), tv and online platforms (Ayala Show UK, Jim Masters Show USA).
Recently she has gone on to support some of Irelands top acts such as Imelda May and Paul Brady, has toured the USA with musician brother Keith Harkin.
She has toured the UK & Holland as a vocalist/pianist for The Summer of Love Musical, performed as a special guest onboard Celtic Thunder Caribbean Cruise and spent a further 2 years traveling the world performing on luxury ships as a singer/pianist.
Rebecca has also performed as one of the headline acts for the Kansas City Gay Softball World Series & toured Australia as lead vocalist for the tour of Celtic Illusion from 2020-2022. She has recently performed as the closing act to the Australian Event Awards 2022 in Sydney onboard The Jackson Super Yacht.
Now based in Sydney Australia, Rebecca is currently performing on land and sea with her new show “Celtic Gra” where she is both lead singer and producer of the show. Celtic Gra show is an uplifting celebration of celtic music, dance, story & projections of Ireland. The show has received an outstanding response and has already been booked up for performances as a headline act on P&O Cruises Australia & Holland America Cruises throughout 2023/2024.
Rebecca is also currently recording, selling out venues & writing new material for her next album in Sydney.
Her latest album release “Things Man Be Someway” has attracted much attention in the press and radio with its strong vocal lines and thick string sections with reviews comparing with Linda Ronstadt, Carol King & Joni Mitchell. The Album features 11 of Rebecca’s original songs filled with tales of travels, love, home and a dust of magic too.
